Presentation of films on informal employment

Informal employment is one of the most serious problems for workers and economies in the world. This seriously affects the financial and social situation of workers, does not allow them to receive education and provide with medical care. But, there is a way out. The experience of the trade union movement has proved that self-organization, association with strong trade unions can change the life of workers in the informal sector for the better. 

According to the Kyrgyz Republic informal economy analysis that was conducted with the support of the Representative Office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation in 2021, 70% work without a contract, envelopes salary (backdoor salary), lack of social protection, safety violations, irregular working hours and difficult working conditions.
