"The Role of Women in Positive Changes in Communities"

On December 6th and 7th, a training session on the topic "The Role of Women in Positive Changes in Communities" was held, organized for female deputies and activists from various regions of Kyrgyzstan.

During the event, participants not only prepared proposals for local action plans but also actively took part in discussions aimed at involving women and youth in decision-making processes at the local level. These discussions led to specific recommendations for improving the situation in their communities and expanding the rights and opportunities for women in political and public life.

Over the two days of the training, participants shared their personal experiences gained during elections, discussed the challenges women face in politics and local government bodies, and developed new skills necessary for effective work in local self-government bodies. Special attention was given to leadership, communication strategies, and the legal foundations of local administrations, helping women to confidently build their career and public prospects.

Dedicated sessions for summarizing the outcomes made the training even more meaningful and productive. Participants were able to present their proposals, exchange experiences, and develop practical steps for implementing the knowledge gained in their daily work.

The event was held as part of the XVIII International Documentary Film Festival on Human Rights "Bir Duyno Kyrgyzstan." The festival, which serves as an important platform for discussing human rights issues, provided an excellent context for discussing the role of women in decision-making and their impact on the development of democratic processes in Kyrgyzstan. The training was an important step in enhancing the role of women in the country's political life and strengthening democratic foundations at the local level.
