The Caravan of Labor Rights 2024

From May 13 to 23, the Caravan of Labor Rights, organized in partnership with the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Workers of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, took place in seven regions of Kyrgyzstan.

This annual event is aimed at raising awareness among the population and trade union members about workers' rights, the correct application of international legal norms and improving working conditions to prevent human rights violations in the workplace.

As part of the caravan, training seminars were held in seven regions of the republic, as well as in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and other localities. More than 2,200 activists and representatives of primary trade union organizations, social partners and heads of educational institutions took part in the sessions and meetings.

Measures to protect the labor, professional and socio-economic rights of education workers were discussed. The participants analyzed existing problems and exchanged experience, proposing modern methods and approaches to activate the trade union movement.

The main goal of these training seminars and meetings with social partners is the qualitative protection of legal interests of education workers and effective implementation of collective agreements on the basis of social partnership. Supporting the labor rights of workers plays a key role in strengthening civil liberties and justice in society.
