A roundtable was held to present the results of the study "Impact of Military Mobilization in Russia on Migrant workers from Kyrgyzstan".
The main goal of this study is to examine the effects of military mobilization in the Russian Federation on migration flows in Central Asia and the situation of labor migrants from Kyrgyzstan in Russia. It also aims to provide recommendations to governmental bodies for the development of effective measures ensuring the safety of labor migrants.
The study was based on the collection of qualitative data through desk research, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions. One of the main components of the work of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation's Office in Kyrgyzstan is to provide support and assistance to trade union organizations in promoting, implementing, and protecting the rights of workers.
This research became possible thanks to the financial support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation's Office in Kyrgyzstan, and it was carried out by the Public Foundation 'Insan-Leilek'.
